Smoked Caciocavallo is undoubtedly one of the oldest cheeses in Southern Italy. This cheese has a delicious bouquet of smoked wood with a distinctive taste. It is an excellent cheese to serve cut into cubes, on a charcuterie board with mixed cold cuts and rustic bread. It is a very popular ingredient for sandwiches too, thinly sliced and served with cured meats. Also delicious with sweet fruit such as apricots, prunes or pears, to further bring out its flavour.
