Peroni Nastro Azzurro – the best-selling Italian beer in the world!
It has to be said, the world loves a beer! It’s one of the most ancient beverages and the third most popular drink in the world, preceded by only water and tea. And the most popular beer in the world? Peroni Nastro Azzurro of course!

HISTORY
Peroni Nastro Azzurro is a premium pilsner beer from the brewery Peroni di Roma, in Rome, Italy. Brewed to the original recipe since 1963, it embodies the traditions of Italian craftsmanship, passion and flair with which it was formed.
Created to reflect the emergence of Italian luxury in fashion and design, it was designed with the sharp, sophisticated beer drinker in mind. It is now savoured in more than 70 countries worldwide.

TASTE
The taste of Peroni Nastro Azzurro is distinctive, crisp and refreshing. You’ll find it has a notable citrus aroma and a pale, golden colour reminiscent of Prosecco.
It is gently brewed to give you an intensely crisp, refreshing taste with that unmistakable touch of Italian style.

HIGH-QUALITY INGREDIENTS AND CRAFTSMANSHIP
High-quality ingredients and craftsmanship are two key elements behind Peroni Nastro Azzurro.
In order to achieve the perfect taste for the Mediterranean palate, the Peroni family added ¼ of Italian maize to the original recipe, creating a unique blend of ¾ barley and ¼ Italian maize.

The Italian maize blend used is a unique, exclusive variety: the Nostrano Dell’Isola. Using such high-quality maize is what gives the beer its distinctive taste.
Peroni Nastro Azzurro is made with two-row, spring planted barley. The barley is planted in the spring and in rows of two, meaning there is plenty of distance in between the crops. This results in the finest quality yield. These characteristics of the barley contribute to the final quality of this beer by delivering a clearer liquid.
The water used in the production of Peroni Nastro Azzurro is tasted and analysed daily by the Master Brewer to ensure it is of the highest quality, purity and softness, with low carbonates. Water plays a fundamental role as it makes up a large proportion of the beer so the standard set for the water is high.
